To Hack or Not to Hack expositions See them, staying there solid like little kids. The poor clueless record server and its going with system of PCs are simply welcoming the forlorn programmer in. Hacking is a workmanship for the most part performed by deft hands and speedy personalities. Genuine programmers are not many. The term programmer was an appellation given to PC nerds in the days when PCs were a remarkable product. These PC masters were said to hack away at the console throughout the day. This gives us one of two issues with the System Administrators: it is possible that they are too lethargic to even think about updating their product, or they are too oblivious to even consider knowing how. As System Administrators, their responsibility is to continually refresh the server to keep up its security. On the off chance that they fall flat, they ought not have the activity. It is up to acceptable programmers like me to show them these vulnerabilities to limit the harm done. What's more, following seven days, I can take request ordinary, which immediately exte nd my seeing all the things in the menu. We should be educated about the food and drink with the goal that we will ready to respond to and handle any inquiry or issues the visitor may have. While after I move to Celebrity Cafe, 1. 2 Service Sequence Seat the visitor ;amp; pass them the menu ;amp;unfold the napkin for them - After request, offer the bread before Appetizer? - Sever the hors d'oeuvre first †When hypothetical experience meets genuine work understanding, it shows numerous advantages between an administration learner who has information and staff who has work understanding and information. The advantages can be information sharing in light of the fact that the learner will utilize his/her insight to take care of the issue, then again, the staff will utilize his/her experience. Decision Making In Risk Management - 825 Words

Decision Making In Risk Management (Essay Sample) Content: DECISION MAKING IN RISK MANAGEMENT NAME OF STUDENT NAME OF SCHOOL SUBMITTED TO DATE Decision making in risk management Introduction Decision making associated with risk management should primarily focus on identification, quantification and absorption of possible risks. Decision making plays an important role in the success of an enterprise as it dictates the operations and procedures with which an organizationà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã¢â€ž ¢s activities are conducted. à ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã‚ Decision making is one of the most central processes in organizations and a basic task of management at all levels." Li, (2009). Decision making process should involve two or more individuals as this enhances critical approach and wider view of different aspects as compared to individual decision making. "Decision making is certainly the most important task of a manager and it is often a very difficult one." Taghavifard et al (2009). Organizations should develop approaches to be used in risk management as this reduces risk exposure and possibly eliminate most of the risks. Management should from time to time review organizations procedures so as to monitor the level of exposure to risk restructure their patterns of works in ways that maximizes productivity. This also enhances achievement of set goals and objectives. Conditions that Influence Decision Making Management make decision in consideration of the three major conditions which include: certainty, uncertainty and risk. Risk and uncertainty are usually considered as the most complex and unstructured conditions faced by managers. Under conditions of certainty, the manager has all the relevant information about the situation under which the decision is being made. However, the approach is challenging while considering the best alternative and making the right decision for the best solution. According to Taghavifard et al (2009), "Business decision making is almost always accompanied by conditions of uncertainty. The more information the decision maker has, the better the decision will be." In uncertainty condition, the decision maker has absolutely no knowledge even on the possibility of occurrence of an event in any nature. The decision therefore in such a situation is solely dependent on the attitude of the decision maker on the unknown. In risk environment, the decision maker does not have complete information. He/she might be aware of the problem and alternatives but has no guarantee of how the solutions will work. Classical decion making model The first step to be considered during the decision making process is the identification of the problem being faced by individuals which could be bounded or unbounded. "It begins with seeking to ask the right questions, continues by discovering creative answers and finishes by making sure that the chosen solution is valuable and useful." Li, (2009). All relevant factors affecting the situation should be considered in depth before making the right decision so as to enable selection of the best alternative. In such case, the decision making is viewed to be a complete environment of certainty. Alternatives should be developed under which a thorough search for the best alternative is made and best choice applied. Behavioral aspects in decion making Behavioral aspects are significant consideration in decision making process. Some of the factors influencing decision making within organizations include: past experience, cognitive biases, age and individual differences, belief in personal relevance, and an escalation of commitment. Past experiences can impact greatly to future decion making as the decion maker has prior experience on the expectation of a certain approach while applied to a situation. If a particular decision is associated with a positive outcome, individuals are most likely to use the same pattern in future decision making. Escalation of commitment and sunk outcomes also impact remarkably in decion making and are considered as unrecoverable costs. People will tend to invest a lot of effort, money and time on decision which they feel more committed. When they feel responsible for ...

The Damsel Of Distress And The Knight s Shining Armor ...

The Damsel in Distress and the Knight in Shining Armor: Gender Roles in Disney Movies â€Å"How about a girls who’s got a brain, who always speaks her mind?† (Bancroft and Cook 00:43:30-00:43:40). This was Mulan’s (Mulan (1998)) response to her fellow soldiers’ desires for women who are beautiful, will cook for them, and will worship them. The men brush off Mulan’s suggestion without thinking, but what do objectifying comments like this being included in a children’s movie say about society? Movies play an important role in shaping the beliefs of children, because they are susceptible to the ideas to which they are exposed as they mature. It is the responsibility of movie producers, like the Walt Disney Company, to create characters and†¦show more content†¦It is alright to want to want to find a â€Å"prince,† but it should not overtake a young girl’s desire for her own successful future. On the other side of the s pectrum, young boys watching these tropes are affected as well. When the prince swoops in to save the princess, he is also â€Å"[claiming] the spotlight† that is not his (Leek 5). There are many instances, such as Cinderella, Snow White, and Sleeping Beauty in which the movie is titled after female characters, â€Å"yet it is men who are thrust into the role of heroes† (5). Even the movie â€Å"Beauty and the Beast [1991] devolves into a battle between two male characters while Belle helplessly awaits the outcome† (5). Young boys seeing all of these heroic princes may lead to them believing they are entitled to the spotlight over girls. This promotes inequality between men and women in society. The imbalance of the two extremes may be attributed to the other personality traits female and male characters are given. The characteristics given the the females and males of Disney movies reinforce gender roles for how each gender should behave. Many of the Di sney heroines share the common traits of being docile, obedient, weak, nurturing, and domestic. For example, Snow White â€Å"finds a shelter in a dusty and dishevelled cottage and immediately feels compelled to clean it from top to bottom (since theShow MoreRelatedSummary Of The Twelfth Century By Marie De France s Lanval1524 Words   |  7 Pagesthe day when things are going horrible for the female. Mid Summer Nights Dream Essay Example For Students

Mid Summer Nights Dream Essay In Shakespeares, MIDSUMMER NIGHTS DREAM, he wrote about a tragedy that he turned into a comedy. He did this to show his audience how stupid humans can act upon their emotions. There are three plots that tie together with one main situation. There is Hermia and Lysander, two star crossed lovers that cant be together. Hermias father wants her to marry Demetrius who Hermias bestfriend Helena loves. Demetrius loves Hermia and trys to pursue her. Then there is Oberon and Titania the King and Queen of the fairies. Oberon is jealous of Titania because she has an Indian boy that shes spending all her time with. He wants the baby and they have a quarrel about it. So as revenge he gets his servant Puck, a fairy, to put a potion in her eyes to distract her when Oberon steals her baby. But this potion made her fall inlove with the first living thing she saw which cooincidently was a jack ass. At first Oberon was amused but then he realized he didnt like how her attention was on the jack ass and not him. Last but not least is a group of dorky guys who are making a play for the first time. Their play is about a tragic love story that ends up in the death of both the lovers because they couldnt be together. The fairies and these clowns that are making the play are very essential for the main plot of Hermia and Lysander and their problems, because it shows how people really act and how their effects are showed in the play. The fairies are essential to the main plot because without Puck there wouldnt have been a comedy at all. Even though he brought confusion to Hermia and Helena about how Lysander and Demetrius both all of the sudden fall inlove with Hermia, at the end Oberon fixed the situation so everyone would be happy. The clowns are also needed because the play they are acting out shows if two lovers cant have each other the way they do, they act on emotions instead of logic and reality, they would take dramatic actions. This play within the play was suppose to show how if you try to keep people away from each other when they dont want to be separated they will do something to act upon your rule. Just like Lysander and Hermia running away to be together against her fathers wishes. Without this play, Theseus would have never seen it and talked to Hermias father to change his mind and allowing his daughter to marry Lysander. What Shakespeare is trying to tell his audience is that if you try to stop lovers from being with one another, theyll find another way or do something terrible. Without these subplots in the play there would be no happy ending for everyone. Category: English

The Fiend and Frankensteins Creation free essay sample

â€Å"It’s alive! It’s alive! My monster, he is alive! † screams Henry Frankenstein, at sight of his creation’s animation. In the 1931 film adaptation of Mary Shelley’s novel Frankenstein, Victor has great ambitions towards his creation and no regrets after the success of his experiment. In the novel, however, the monster is not so warmly welcomed; his rejection sparks a flame of hatred and vengeance. In fact, the novel and film adaptation depict two completely different interpretations of Frankenstein’s monster. In the novel, the monster’s actions are justified, and he displays a want and need to love and be loved, as opposed to the blatant and arbitrary nature of the monster in the film. Also, the fiend is treated much differently by his creator in the novel than in the film. Firstly, in the novel, the monster’s violent actions are a result of his anger and desire for revenge. We will write a custom essay sample on The Fiend and Frankensteins Creation or any similar topic specifically for you Do Not WasteYour Time HIRE WRITER Only 13.90 / page The family who he had spied on for about a year and had come to care for so much, had deceived him, and as a result, the fiend burned down their cottage. This shows that, in frustration and anger towards the cottagers’ betrayal and lack of sympathy, the creature expresses his feelings, thereby justifying his acts. Subsequently, the monster later strangles Victor’s younger brother, William, to death in the forest near Geneva. â€Å"My papa is a syndic—he is M. Frankenstein†Ã¢â‚¬ ¦. â€Å"Frankenstein! You belong then to my enemy—to him towards whom I have sworn eternal revenge; you shall be my first victim,† (131). Again, the creature is aggravated by his emotions to cause injury and death, this time, to someone close and dear to Victor. In the film, Frankenstein’s creation also perpetrates aggression. Although, these are random acts of violence that cannot be justified, as the monster has no basis on which to cause chaos. He can be compared to a raging bull, destroying anything in is his way, merely for the sake of eliminating its presence. Back to the novel side of things, the creature yet again commits further acts of violence, bringing upon the deaths of Henry and Elizabeth. This is in response to Victor’s abortion of the monster’s to-be companion. From this it can be concluded that, as opposed to the movie, where the fiend capriciously commits random acts of violence, the novel’s monster has motives on which he bases his actions upon. Secondly, the monster is much more human-like in the novel than in the film. He shows his want and need for compassion by requesting Victor to create for him a mate. In doing this, the monster also conveys his desire to escape the wretched world of villainous revenge and to become a benevolent being. â€Å"Let him [mankind] live with me in the interchange of kindness, and instead of injury I would bestow every benefit upon him with tears of gratitude at his acceptance,† (135). On the other hand, the film portrays the monster as one with a very basic sense of emotion and no intelligence at all. This can be seen as the monster throws Maria into the water, to decipher whether or not she is buoyant, as the flowers are. Finally, in the novel, there are two instances at which the monster attempts to interact with society; first with the villagers, then the cottagers. This shows his need for one of the basic necessities of life; a sense of belonging in the world. The novel’s monster is much more human, and, along with his ebb and flow of emotions, we are able to relate our own lives with his. Lastly, the manner in which the creature is treated by his creator is, without doubt, more outspoken in the novel. In the film, Victor is proud and quite optimistic; if not downright mad, at the completion of the monster’s biogenesis. This proves that Victor had the full intention of carrying out this experiment; a rather short-sighted act at that. On the contrary, when this is observed in the novel, Victor Frankenstein is immediately horrified at the sight of his creature when it comes to life. This means that creating the monster was something Victor immediately regretted. Also, in the film, Victor struggles to control the monster and have it demonstrate obedience, rather than avoid all contact with it, as he did in the novel. A large aspect of the monster’s character and persona, and a foundation of hatred and vengeance are developed by Victor’s rejection, an element that was entirely omitted in the movie. The viewer/reader comes across two distinct characters under the same name when watching the 1931 film adaptation and reading the novel by Mary Shelley. The monster in the novel has justification for his actions, a sort of motive that drives him to commit violent crimes. He also displays a requirement for the essential needs of human life, which include the capacity to love and belong. Lastly, the monster’s creator behaves differently towards his creation in the two mediums, producing differences in character and developmental nature. From the novel’s depiction of the monster’s different motives, actions, and emotions, the reader can develop a much deeper, more understandable connection with the monster. We are able to relate our lives with the monster, and feel his glee, as well as his gloom.
